Milk

Ever since they started filming in San Francisco last year, I've been looking forward to the release of this movie. AB just bought tickets for us to see it on my birthday.

So... how was it?

It was fantastic. I've always liked Sean Penn, but this movie really drove home the fact that he can play pretty much ANY character well.

Seeing it in the Castro Theatre made it even more special, since the outside of the theater was restored for the filming of the movie.

They used some actual footage of the candlelight vigil that happened after Harvey Milk was killed, which was really beautiful and moving.

Also, James Franco and Sean Penn making out was suprisingly HOT. :-)

I'll have to check it out. I'm also waiting for Slumdog Millionaire to come to C-U.

I heard it was amazing!!
